MTK Expands with First Mountain Home Transformation
In 2022, MTK Design Group owners, Megan & John Kranz, officially expanded their portfolio by starting MTK Mountain Homes LLC, a real estate division that seeks to invest and beautify hidden gems in unique locations. The Antler Overlook is the first endeavor completed in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. While the home had a strong foundation and interesting layout, MTK Design Group cleaned up the appeal with all fresh interior and exterior paint, updated fixtures throughout and decorated the spaces in a way that felt inviting while still incorporating a modern mountain aesthetic. The Dining Room is a personal favorite room of the team as it connects to the wrap-around deck and hosts a stunning antler chandelier that helped inspire the home's name.
Dining Room Before:
The Living Room remodel started with several coats of paint to cover a giant, bright red wall. The now soft black creates a coziness while complimenting other features in the home including the original wood-burning stove and black Kitchen cabinets. The layout centers around the fireplace while opening up to the mountain views through the expansive windows.
Living Room Before:
The Primary Bedroom is another fan favorite with one of the best views in the house of sweeping mountains. The swivel chairs are ultra-comfy, perfect for enjoying the view with coffee in the mornings while planning the day.

"This was a very special project for me as I consider myself a mountain girl and absolutely love this style and setting." says the designer, Megan Kranz. "We're very excited for this new journey and look forward to bringing many more hidden gems to life."
The home's remodel also included custom wood-working projects completed by the team's carpenter, John, who created a fold-away bed frame made with aspen trees that had fallen down on the 3 acre property. You can check it out along with the rest of the home and learn more about it's surroundings on the Antler Overlook's Airbnb page here.
